Ruling on BMIC project today

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday will be pronouncing judgment on three public interest litigations (PIL) on the controversial Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project.

While two petitions had been filed seeking early completion of the project, a petition by J.C. Madhuswamy and Sriram Reddy (MLAs) had sought a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the project. The MLAs had contended that Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE), which is executing the project, had illegally acquired excess land for the project.
