I was not approached on BMIC: Sorabjee
Tuesday May 24 2005 11:39 IST

BANGALORE: Former Attorney General and leading Supreme Court lawyer Soli J Sorabjee has clarified that he did not decline any offer to represent the State Government or Chief Secretary K K Misra in the Supreme Court in the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project case.

‘‘I did not decline any offer to represent the State in the Apex Court as reported in the media, as I was never offered any brief in this regard after the meeting with the advocate of Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board on May 6,’’ he said.

He also said that he was not approached by the Chief Minister over phone on the issue and dismissed it as a figment of imagination.
