BMIC: Hearing to resume today

BANGALORE,
APRIL 6.
The Karnataka High Court will on Thursday commence hearing on a public interest litigation (PIL) petition against the execution of the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project (BMIC).
J.C. Madhuswamy and Srirama Reddy, legislators, and another person had challenged the project and sought a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the alleged excesses.
A Division Bench, comprising the Chief Justice, Nauvdip Kumar Sodhi, and Justice B. Padmaraj, which is hearing the PIL, had directed the State Government to file a fresh affidavit clarifying its stand on the project.
The State Government filed the affidavit on March 31 reiterating its decision not to go ahead with the project the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise way.
