ESG is a Registered Trust per the Indian Trusts Act, and is exempt from tax under Section 12 A of the Income Tax Act. Donations made to ESG are exempt from tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. ESG is eligible to receive foreign grants per the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. As a non-profit public interest organisation, ESG recognises the need to extend its campaign and research support towards many issues across the country and several local communities. This can be achieved only through greater support and cooperation from individuals and organisations that believe in building a better environment and society. Donations can be made
in general to ESG's various functions or even specifically to the following: 2) Campaigns: ESG staff has largely supported its campaigns from their own earnings from project funded research. Supporting ongoing campaign initiatives liberally would enable ESG to raise many fundamental issues affecting our society. 3) Training: ESG has successfully conducted several workshops on environmental and social justice perspectives involving students, teachers, public administrators and a wide variety of communities based on an experiential learning methodology. Whilst the demand for such workshops has been growing, the resources to support such initiatives are not forthcoming easily. Your contribution would enable us to systematically organise training programmes on a variety of environmental and social justice issues. 4) Infrastructure: Equipping the organisation with necessary resources for such training, campaign and research activities with technical and audio visual aids, computers and software, and office supplies. 5) Corpus:
Providing liberal contributions to ESG's corpus fund will go a long
way in sustaining the many activities and initiatives of the organisation.
