How you can contribute

Resources to support ESG's many initiatives has essentially been raised from our research and education efforts.  This is far from sufficient to sustain our many campaign and advocacy initiatives, as these are not entirely funded. We are not too savvy in raising money for all this work.... and can do with help from you.

Your monetary contributions matter a lot.

Possible options:

ESG Associate:  Individuals are invited to contribute Rs. 1000/month and organisations Rs. 5,000/month. (This may also be made in quarterly donations).  In appreciation, we will acknowledge your contributions on our website.

Occassional Donors:  In case you cannot contribute regularly, do please contribute when you can.  We welcome large organisations to consider making very generous contributions to ESG, and thus partner in our initiatives.

A special appeal to Bengaluru nivasigalu:    Bangalore has benefited immensely from ESG's intiatiives.  We can do much more with your support and generous monetary contributions.  Please do consider donating regularly and generously to ESG.

Quick reasons why you should support us:    We have worked to save thousands of homes, businesses and livelihoods from needless road widening through our campaign and legal initiatives. Similarly, we have helped save thousands of trees from reckless urbanisation, even as we continue to work on protecting open spaces, parks and forests in and around this fast expanding metropolis.  

In recognition of our research, campaign and legal efforts to protecting over 450 lakes of Bangalore from encroachment and pollution, thus building ecological and water security for the region, the International Green Awards, UK has awarded the 2011 Gold Medal to ESG under the "Best Green Water Stewardhip" category.  

We are also actively involved with various communities and agencies in making mobility in Bangalore safe for all. This even as we work to promote progressive waste management approaches. Needless to state, all these initiatives support the deepening of democratic participation in this metropolis.

How to donate:

Direct contributions can now be made online through ESG's Givengain page. This is particularly useful for online contributions and donors abroad.

Contributions may also be in the form of demand draft / cheque or electronically to "Environment Support Group" payable at Bangalore. Please enquire for our bank details for electonic transfer.

Event Sponsorship

We welcome sponsorship of ESG events throughout the year. We frequently organise lectures, seminars, educational workshops and conferences.
